EMMA

It wasn’t the kiss that took her by surprise; she knew she brought that on herself when she practically licked the marshmallow from his lips. It was the sparks. She could feel the fireworks from the tip of her head to her toes. Her head went slightly dizzy in the best way as her stomach dropped.

He pulled back and looked into her eyes. “Tell me to stop, Emma.”

She shook her head. “No, Liam. I just want to feel good.”

“You don’t know what you’re asking.” He leaned his forehead against hers. “I don’t like to let go.”

“Not even just for one night?” She pulled back. The thought of something serious so soon scared her. She didn’t think she was ready.

“I’m not that kind of guy.” He pressed his lips together.

Emma didn’t know what to think. She’d never met a guy that wouldn’t be into a one-night stand. Not that it was something she ever got into since she’d always been in relationships. She thought if she tried something different, it could be better. “I’m only here for a few weeks.”

He sighed as if he were thinking it over. “I don’t know if I can do that.” He ran his hand down her arms, then laced his fingers with hers.

“Would you try?” She glanced down at their hands. She looked back up to see his eyes closed. “Maybe this was a mistake.” She started to pull away.

“Wait.” His eyes landed on hers. “I’ll try, but we can’t tell the others. I don’t want the guys knowing.”

She thought it over. As much as she wanted to tell her sister, she knew she’d tell Noah. Maybe this could work, a secret romance. It could be just the thing to help her move on and figure out what to do with her life. “Deal.”

Liam pulled her onto his lap and captured her lips. His hands tangled in her hair as he pulled her closer. She straddled his lap and moaned as his erection pressed against her core. Her leggings were thin and his pants weren’t much thicker. She could feel everything and holy fuck, was he huge.

She wasn’t sure how much time passed as they made out like a couple of teenagers until her phone buzzed with a message from her sister asking where she was. She replied quickly that she was helping Liam prep stuff for dinner.

“I guess it’s about that time.” She sighed, not ready to stop kissing him.

He kissed across her jaw, toward her ear and down her neck. “Mm-hmm.”

“If you don’t stop, we’re going to get sidetracked and then someone is going to find out.” Not that she cared if they knew, but he did. He nibbled on her ear, shooting goosebumps down that side of her body as he pulled back.

“Okay. I should change clothes. I’ll meet you out there.” His hands rested at her waist, as if he wasn’t quite ready for her to move.

“Sure.” She nodded before rocking against his hard cock, then pressing a quick kiss to his lips.
